The project is developed in a consolidated residential area in the city of Puebla, near the river Atoyac, in a densely tree-covered land with special character. In this site of memory, a house is designed for a couple with two children and a keen interest in architecture, materials, design.
The project derives from the idea of an open, clear structure separating the lush garden from the street. An authentic support for family life, able to host different uses in a flexible way and generate outdoor spaces –some private, almost hidden, some opened to the garden. The house is arranged in two levels, the lower conceived as a continuous space amid solid concrete volumes, and the upper as a compartment box shaped by concrete planes.
A robust, clear box above a smaller set of boxes. From the street to the garden.
