M1 House is, basically, a floating roof over a series of stepped platforms following the natural topography of the selected lot. This very simple conceptual stance provides rich spatial situations, combining views, nature and a certain continuity between the exterior and the interior that allow a very intense experience of the context. The house around a tree
M1 House is, basically, a floating roof over a series of stepped platforms following the natural topography of the selected lot. This very simple conceptual stance provides rich spatial situations, combining views, nature and a certain continuity between the exterior and the interior that allow a very intense experience of the context. The house is organized in one single floor. Life flows quietly in one-floor houses and the attachment to the ground, to the views and to nature are especially strong. At the same time, multiple exterior accesses provide a big independence for users. The presence of a magnificent Ponderosa Pinetree quite in the middle of the lot arranges the different rooms around in a remarkably simple manner. Circulations are therefore circular and continuous; spaces are linked within a rich sequence. Further vegetation completes this inside-outside diagram enhances both worlds: the exterior natural area and the patio domestic garden.
