EPFL Pavilions
Lausanne (Switzerland)
Any intervention on Cosandey place within EPFL campus in Écublens is now, more than ever, building on the area that is expected to become part of the great cultural, artistic and scientific center of the Lake Geneva Metropolis .
Continuous urban fabric was already tested in the 70s on the north shore of the lake, when Jakob Zweifel proposed a megastructure hosting the first schools of the EPFL. Écublens became then a location no longer belonging to Lausanne itself, but also to the whole metropolis by the shore. Today it's time to update the masterplan that allowed the campus creation so as to define the new service district and assure the Geneva-Lausanne continuity.
